Management Trainee Programme of Oxford University Press (China).

Oxford University Press (OUP) is a department of the University of Oxford. It furthers the University’s objective of excellence in research, scholarship and education by publishing worldwide. Established in Hong Kong in 1961, OUP China is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford University Press.

As a visionary publisher, OUP China is committed to nurturing young talent, who are dedicated to advancing education and culture, to become our future leaders. We introduced the management trainee programme in 2009, the first of such kind in the publishing industry across the whole Chinese-speaking world. This two-year programme is made up of a number of modules, including regular job rotations, external placements, comprehensive training, mentorship and project work. Our management trainees will gain a broad understanding of the various aspects of our business and develop management skills through hands-on experience in a wide range of business environments. In addition, our management trainees will receive support and guidance from senior management.

We would like to invite young aspiring minds of the UBC Hong Kong Students’ Association to apply to the programme and develop an exciting career at OUP China. We welcome both graduates with less than two years of work experience and fresh graduates to apply. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in languages, humanities, social sciences or business. Of course, they must also be eligible for full-time employment in Hong Kong.

We have produced a leaflet for our programme. It contains details and application methods of the programme.

We look forward to welcoming UBC graduates to Oxford University Press (China), a place where great minds meet.
