IFVA x 7-Eleven
If you miss Hong Kong 7-Eleven (7仔) as much as I do, you can finally catch glimpses of the convenience store at 7-Eleven’s first YouTube Channel! IFVA (The Hong Kong Independent Short Films and Video Awards) and 7-Eleven have invited seven award winning local directors to create short film clips that take place in the convenience store. Each short film clip is around 5 minutes long; and in these couple of minutes, we are shown the everyday experiences of different people who visit 7-Eleven on a daily basis. What I like most about these clips is its ability to portray 7-Eleven as a symbol of Hong Kong community. Everyone, in Hong Kong visits 7-Eleven. No exceptions.
By the way, did you know that by 2009, there were over 950 7-Elevens located in Hong Kong?! I would expect that by now, there should be over 1000 stores! So when you’re really craving for some Vita Lemon, or if you need 10 seconds of air conditioning to escape from the killing heat, you will be happy to know that 7-Eleven is just around the corner. 🙂
